Villain Little Red Riding Hood

Believe it or not, many of us have come out in defense of the poor wolf. When one hears the name Little Red Riding Hood, one immediately remembers that sweet girl who, by doing a favor and trying to care for her grandmother, was victim of a cunning and malicious wolf.

This classic tale written by Charles Perrault and spread throughout the world is famous because it made us hate the forest wolf and proclaim justice.

However, this same context has inspired many others to think and come out in defense of the mammal. How would the story have been if something had been modified? Very little is known about the multiple versions—not only written but also visual—that exist of this tale, although these versions have been part of exhibitions.

There exists, for example, the legalistic version of the matter that appeals to arguments in defense of the wolf with the intention of showing that Little Red knew what she faced walking through the forest and how irresponsible her mother was to let her go alone.

I’m happy to be who I am and what I am… And, jumping from the bed, he grabbed Little Red Riding Hood with his claws, ready to devour her. Little Red screamed; not as a result of the wolf’s apparent tendency toward transvestism, but because of the deliberate invasion he had made of her personal space.
